How Much Do Billboards Cost In Australia?

How Much Do Billboards Cost In Australia?

August 20, 2024 By Juliann Elliott

Billboards are one of the oldest forms of advertising, used by thousands of businesses to attract target audience and attain sales. The big and bold appearance of a billboard can’t be overlooked by any passer-by if placed appropriately. There’s something unique about having your company’s logo prominently displayed for all to see as a business owner.

If you’re considering putting up a billboard for your business in Australia, you’ve come to the correct place.

But, before jumping into billboard advertising prices, it’s important to know what elements have the most impact on how much do billboards cost in Australia.

Where Do You Want Your Billboard?

Billboards (and advertising in general) follow a basic rule:

More eyes = higher expenses

This means you’ll have to pay more to have your billboard displayed in high-traffic places, thus increasing your billboard advertising costs (for example, the digital billboard in Yagan Square). In lower-trafficked areas, the opposite is true.

Smaller-scale billboards are now acceptable (or adshels). They can nevertheless have an effect at a fraction of the price when placed in the right places.

What Size Do You Want Your Billboard?

The cost of installing a billboard in Perth is determined by the size of the billboard. Smaller billboards, such as Commute Live (previously Adshel), will be far less expensive than a giant billboard on Mitchell Freeway.

What Kind Of Design Suits You The Most?

Making a design for your billboard is an important step that should not be taken lightly. Your billboard should be bold while still conveying information quickly because individuals passing by in their cars don’t have much time to look at your billboard. As a result, the message must be concise and to the point.

Furthermore, your billboard must appear professional. A design studio can assist you in creating a billboard that effectively communicates your message.

You might be able to get a better deal if you design it yourself. However, we do not encourage this because the billboard must achieve a delicate balance of space and content in order to be effective. If you don’t have any design skills, this can be difficult to accomplish.

How Long Do You Want Your Billboard Displayed?

The length of time your billboard is shown has an impact on your costs. The costs will differ depending on whether you are staying for a week or a month. However, if you book for a longer period of time (‘bulk buying’), you may be able to receive better discounts.

Mobile Billboards Vs. Static Billboards Or A Hybrid?

The majority of companies who choose outdoor advertising in Australia do so because they recognise the value of taking their customised message to their customers rather than waiting for their customers to come to them.

The beauty of “Mobile Billboards” is that they are unconstrained and can go almost anyplace a regular vehicle can, but with far greater impact. They take to the streets, focusing on roads, arterials, shopping malls, points of interest, competitors, and so on, and are essentially unrestricted in their movements.

Conclusion

Advertising on billboards can greatly boost your presence in the market and attract customers who were, perhaps, unsure of your services before. It is a great way to directly appeal to the audience and get your services and products across.

If you want to advertise on billboards in Australia, we recommend meeting with an agency first to discuss your choices. Billboards are a difficult world to navigate, and if you’re going to spend money, you want to get the most bang for your buck.
