So, why not take the hassle out of your calculations by using some of the killer Excel templates for marketers below? I know, I know. You’re more at home in Word or PowerPoint, but take it from me, once you start using Excel templates, you won’t look back.
You will be able to unlock the potential of your raw data using these Excel templates for marketers. Think how much more impressive your next presentation to the Board of Directors could be. You could feature graphs plotting your increased lead conversion rates, the demographics of social media users, increased website traffic. These graphs will enable you to identify trends more easily and forecast for future marketing strategies. Plus, it makes accounting and finance so much simpler, quicker and easier. Marketing Budget Excel Templates
There is any number of Excel templates that can be used to plan, plot and analyse your marketing budget. The biggest decision here is how you would like to structure your marketing budget. Once you’ve made that all-important decision, all you need do is plug in your numbers and away you go. Here are our top three marketing budget Excel templates:
Annual Marketing Budget: This is a fairly straight-forward, easy to use template from Entrepreneur. In the left-hand column, there are various outgoing cost types (which can be easily added to). You simply add your expenditure to the monthly columns on the right. These are then totalled for each quarter and then annually. Word from the wise: you could also use this Excel template to track your monthly expenditure for BAS and personal taxation purposes.
Marketing Budget Plan by Month: This is even more straight-forward than the first marketing budget Excel template from Entrepreneur. Again, the cost type is on the left and all you need do is plug in the monthly figures on the right. The nice thing about this Excel template is that it fits nicely on the screen (without having to scroll left and right). It does provide a running annual tally, but this is not broken down by quarter, as per the template above. This one is quite easy on the eye, as spread sheets go.
Detailed Marketing Budget Plan: This marketing budget Excel template from Microsoft Office is more appropriate for a stand-alone event or marketing campaign, rather than an annual, ongoing budget. Again, cost types are on the left, followed by columns for unit number, unit cost, sub-total and notes. This Excel template also has a pie-graph function programmed directly into it (which appears in sheet two).
Marketing Research Excel Templates
Market Potential Analysis Worksheet: The objective of a market potential analysis is to determine the attractiveness, and the demographics, of particular markets within specific industries. This type of analysis is often most useful for marketers when launching a new product. Let this Excel template from Entrepreneur take the hassle out of marketing analysis. The template will allow you to centralise data on potential new customer numbers, competitor market share and projected revenue per customer. This Excel template also features two pre-programmed graphs (sheets two and three).
Marketing Planning Excel Templates
Marketing Tactical Plan: A handy Excel template if you are responsible for the management of multiple marketing projects. This Excel template from Microsoft Office allows marketers to determine, at a glance, the status of any marketing project. Tasked focused and colour-coded for easy reference, the template includes fields such as Project Owner, Actual Expenses, Month and Comments. AdWords Campaign Tracker: Again created by Hubspot, this Excel template will help with the nightmare that is tracking AdWords campaigns. It can assist marketers organise AdWords campaigns and record all variations, keywords and URLs.
Marketing Report Excel Templates
Monthly Marketing Report: We all know that reporting can be tedious. The problem is, it’s essential for any marketer. It demonstrates your worth and your real contribution to your company’s bottom line. If you have to draft monthly marketing reports, why not use the handy template created by Hubspot. It features both an Excel spreadsheet and integrated PowerPoint deck, enabling you to track growth in leads, customers and website visitors; measure visit-to-lead conversion for your website; and track your best performing channels. Using a marketing template like this one also ensures month-on-month consistency in your reporting.
