7 Fantastic Australian Facebook Pages To Inspire

January 10, 2013 By Calie Salter

Australian Facebook PagesAs the New Year kicks into gear, it might be time to give that old Facebook page of yours a little TLC. To help inspire you, we thought we’d share with you seven Australian Facebook pages we feel use Facebook effectively to communicate and engage with their customers. Remember, it’s not just about how many fans you have, it’s all about the interaction you have via the social sharing platform. Are they liking, commenting and sharing what you have to say?

Lorna Jane

Lorna Jane is an iconic Australian female active sportswear brand. We love their vibrant Facebook page. They are a great example of how to use Facebook to engage with readers and not be a pushy salesperson promoting products. Lorna Jane frequently share posts of encouragement and motivation like “What you think you become. So think active!”. These motivational and inspirational messages tie back nicely to their brand essence. By developing a strong emotional connection with fans, this relationship will be what prompts them to buy products as they want to be a part of this great brand experience.

7 Fantastic Australian Facebook Pages To Inspire

David Jones

David Jones have certainly been paying attention to their online presence in recent years, especially with the opening of their online store last year. We love their Facebook page as do 200K+ others. They update customers effectively on special promotions and also capitalise on the use of great visuals that capture the readers attention.

BONDS

Bonds are a great Aussie brand that have always done a great job with celebrity endorsements and catchy advertising. They use celebrity endorsements quite effectively on their Facebook too with photoshoot pics and ‘Pat’s New Years Resolutions’. It is not hard to see why they’ve hit nearly 800K fans.

7 Fantastic Australian Facebook Pages To Inspire

Kogan

Kogan’s promise is to make technology more affordable for everyone and they use their Facebook page really effectively to promote competitions and special deals.

7 Fantastic Australian Facebook Pages To Inspire

Masterchef Australia

With 1 million Facebook Fans, the MasterChef Australia Facebook page is certainly an Aussie favourite, especially with around a third of their fan base engaging with the page (32,840 at the time of publishing). MasterChef have also stayed consistent with their current advertising campaign by updating their profile page with the latest Professionals series that is about to air. They also regularly share videos to engage with their fans. We all love a good video.

7 Fantastic Australian Facebook Pages To Inspire

Cadbury Dairy Milk Australia

It is rare to find someone who doesn’t enjoy indulging in chocolate. Cadbury’s clever marketing campaign gives fans the permission to be ‘joyful’ and they carry this theme throughout their Facebook page quite effectively. They have also recently announced they will be donating proceeds of Dairy Milk family blocks to the Tasmanian Bushfire Appeal to demonstrate corporate responsibility to fans and emotionally engage with them.

7 Fantastic Australian Facebook Pages To Inspire

Coles

Coles are another great example of an Aussie brand that has a high level of engagement on Facebook. We love how they regularly delight readers with recipe ideas accompanied by beautiful photos. It certainly gets the taste buds watering. Coles also share tips from celebrity chef endorser Curtis Stone. They certainly have a knack for creating a reason for fans to keep coming back.
