Google Analytics Classroom Courses by Loves Data
1-2 September, Melbourne

Whether you’re new to online marketing and measurement, studying to take your individual qualification exams, in need of a refresher or wanting to boost your skills, these classroom-style courses run by Loves Data, will help you take your knowledge to the next level. Attendees can choose whether to attend one or both days of the course:
- Day One: is all about the fundamentals of Google Analytics, including basic concepts, the user interface itself, reading reports, and how to optimise campaigns. It is great for people with no Google Analytics experience.
- Day Two: as you’d expect, day two is slightly more advanced. It covers advanced analysis and customisation techniques.

Sydney Hackstars

Sydney Hackastars is Australia’s premier hackathon hosted by Tech Pilot Fund. The event will feature presentations from leaders from the tech industry, as well as roaming mentors and pitch workshops. All food, drinks, and accommodation will be provided, along with some other surprises. There are even two major prizes to be won:
- Open category: $15,000 will be given to the best startup pitch.
- batyr prize – $15,000 development budget with Tech Pilot Fund for the startup that solves a problem provided by batyr

Publish Awards
16 September, Sydney
The Publish Awards recognise the very best in Australian publishing—in both print and digital formats. Celebrating 20 years in 2016, the Awards are jointly organised by Mumbrella and Publishers Australia. The judging panel includes a range of experts, from within the publishing, media and advertising industries. With a total of 34 categories up for grabs this year, awards will be presented for the magazine of the year, website of the year, and even publishing company of the year.

Marketing and the Australian Public Sector
20-21 September, Sydney
This two-day event will include the presentation of a number of case studies focused on developing, implementing, introducing and managing a brand. These case studies will be presented by the Government of NSW, Australian National University, Arrow Internet, National Disability Insurance Scheme, The Salvation Army, and Evolve Housing. The case studies will explore the topics of:
- Making your brand meaningful
- Where is the public sector at with regards to social media
- Working with a lack of resources/budget constraints
- Social media policies in the public sector
- The legal implications, risks and mitigations
- Working with influencers and internal stakeholders

The Content Safari
21-22 September, Sydney
Unlike many other conferences, this event is not vendor-driven: there are no sales presentations. Instead, each session delivers practical, useful knowledge that you can take back to your workplace. Speakers will include WWF-Australia, Deakin University, GovCom Group, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Hunter Institute of Mental Health, ISSIMO.IO, and Content Queen (Digital Content Producer, Panasonic). Each session, led by one of these organisation, will be called a ‘safari’ with three stops:
