Psychology in UX

July 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Understanding how people interact with a product and factors that influence their decision-making process is integral to User Experience Design. This makes psychology a relevant and very helpful background to have for UX Designers.

In this class we’ll discuss why considering ‘how we think’ is such an important part of the design process. The class will cover a basic introduction to psychology as a science and we’ll deep dive into some areas that are particularly relevant to the design process. There will be plenty of exercises to illustrate key concepts, with a focus on cognitive biases and mental models.
