The IAB is running a commercial acumen workshop for sales people within publisher and ad tech organisations. The basics of business seem simple: sales minus costs equals profit. However, in the 21st Century businesses are constantly creating innovative, fascinating ways of making money. In this IAB session, we will investigate the fascinating business strategies of companies in advertising and beyond.
Understanding these traditional and disruptive business models is a crucial skill for anyone who wants to be successful in the advertising industry.
You’ll learn the 3 building blocks that make up any business model and how to quickly chunk down and analyze a client’s business model. Plus, you’ll be able to show how what you do affects your company’s bottom line.
The workshop will be run by industry veteran Rob Pyne who runs Realizer, a training & facilitation company specializing in decision-making, management and productivity and it suitable for people with approximately 2-5 years sales experience. The workshop is free for people who work in IAB member companies but limited to 3 people from any one organisation.
