Exploring the role of the company director and the board’s vital contribution towards organisational culture and sustainable governance, this course draws on theory, practice, and the collective knowledge of the participants to simulate the boardroom experience.
This course is designed to consolidate your understanding of the role of the director and the board. The course modules are delivered part time over 3 weeks and explore the duties of directors with a focus on the soft skills required to be an effective director in the boardroom environment. You will meet and network with peers across sectors and each module is facilitated by an experienced trainer with director experience.

After attending the course, you will:
Conclude the course by meeting an experienced non-executive director and a recruiter to hear about current trends in director recruitment and appointment and gain valuable personal insights on how to thrive as a director in the boardroom.
The course materials will be provided for pre-reading 2 weeks prior to the start of your course. Assessment consists of reflective written responses to each of modules 1 to 3.

This course will run virtually over 2 weeks in short weekly sessions.

If you successfully complete the course and assessment tasks, you will graduate and become a part of the Effective Director Course Alumni and qualify for membership of Governance Institute of Australia and receive Cert (EDC) post-nominals .
