Sydney Hackstars

2 September, Sydney
Sydney Hackastars is Australia’s premier hackathon hosted by Tech Pilot Fund. The event will feature presentations from leaders from the tech industry, as well as roaming mentors and pitch workshops. All food, drinks, and accommodation will be provided, along with some other surprises. There are even two major prizes to be won:

  1. Open category: $15,000 will be given to the best startup pitch.
  2. batyr prize – $15,000 development budget with Tech Pilot Fund for the startup that solves a problem provided by batyr

Publish Awards

16 September, Sydney
The Publish Awards recognise the very best in Australian publishing—in both print and digital formats. Celebrating 20 years in 2016, the Awards are jointly organised by Mumbrella and Publishers Australia. The judging panel includes a range of experts, from within the publishing, media and advertising industries. With a total of 34 categories up for grabs this year, awards will be presented for the magazine of the year, website of the year, and even publishing company of the year.

The Content Safari

21-22 September, Sydney

Unlike many other conferences, this event is not vendor-driven: there are no sales presentations. Instead, each session delivers practical, useful knowledge that you can take back to your workplace.
