The campaign image for this year’s awards\, the yin yang\, epitomises the concept of balance\, proportion and interconnectedness. And if you’re wondering about its constituent parts – it’s our legacy trophy shape. \nThe award icon\, the cuboctahedron\, pictured left\, symbolises the union of creativity and effectiveness. The design is based on Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings for the mathematical tome De Divina Proportione written by the mathematician Luca Pacioli in 1509. Da Vinci is recognised as a genius in both science and art\, thus the cuboctahedron is the perfect manifestation of our awards philosophy\, representing both creative flair (creativity) and intellectual rigour (effectiveness.) \nThe MC for the event is Cal Wilson\, best known for television shows such as Spicks and Specks\, Good News Week\, Thank God You’re Here and the hit series SlideShow\, and also her intelligent\, hilarious stand up shows. Teaming an exhilarating eight-piece line up with a world-class DJ\, The Groove Academy are one of Australia’s most in-demand acts.
